Ever since I read The Perfect Scent: A Year Inside the Perfume Industry by Chandler Burr, I have been completely enamored of the perfume industry, despite the fact that, due to chronic sinusitis, sinus surgery and 2 pregnancies, I am near completely anosmic. Like, one day I ran our natural gas fireplace with the flu closed and couldn't even tell until Ian came home and ran us all out while he opened doors and windows.
Anyway, I don't care, I want to be perfumer, despite having no sense of smell and no ability in organic chemistry. Anyone up for a trip to France?
